BRAZUCA’S music is a heavily percussion fusion of Afro-Brazilian beats, reggae, and samba.  Strongly influenced by  capoeira, samba, pagode and frevo music of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil where the band’s leader Borracha hails from, this 15 member group creates exciting, fast compositions. Incorporated into their exhilarating performances are demonstrations of the beautiful, breath taking, acrobatic Brazilian martial art of capoeira. BRAZUCA uses instruments such as the timbal, surdo, bacurinha, berimbau, guitar, bass, keyboard, sax, flute, trumpet, pandero and other percussion to fashion colorful layers of music.  The result is a powerful, fun Brazilian rhythm that gets everyone up dancing.
